A War Of Two Halves tells the dramatic and moving story of the gifted Hearts team of 1914, whose Scottish title ambitions were interrupted by the outbreak of World War 1.

Accused of being cowards by playing football, and inspired by Colonel Geordie McCrae, the team joined up en masse alongside fans and players of rival teams to form the first of the Pals Battalions. Many were killed in the trenches of Flanders.

Marking the centenary of the 1918 Armistice, and inspired by true events, this is an immersive, promenade production through Tynecastle Park, following the real-life players who became soldiers

About the Show

The Journey

This is a Theatrical Play, but rather than set in a Theatre, the Stage is various locations throughout Tynecastle Park Stadium.

The show begins, and ends, in the New Hearts Fan's Bar, situated in the New Main Stand.  From here Characters from the show will guide you around Tynecastle Park as the story unfolds.

This will include:  exclusive access to areas of the Stadium not normally open to the Public and will feature stops in the New Stand, The Home Dressing Room and even a purpose-built WW1 Trench.

The tour will involve some walking, a few flights of stairs and moving regularly and efficiently from one location to another.  It will last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
